About the Author
Naiya Figueroa, born and raised in Memphis, TN, is a young poet. She would start by writing letters to those around her as a way to express herself as she was very soft spoken. It wasn't until the age of 13 that Naiya started writing poetry, and she started taking writing seriously during her time in high school.
During that time she would go on to win her first award in writing and honorable mention. Some time after high school, in 2022, she would have her first book Gentle Rose published on all online booksellers websites.
